Looking back at 2025, we give thanks to God for His sustaining grace and faithfulness as we continued serving and supporting the Churches in China through our mission. We thank God for every ministry partner who received and partnered with us to make the Bible and other biblical resources available to the believers in China. We pray that through our ministry partnership with the churches in China, more lives will be touched and transformed by the life-giving Word of God.

In March 2025,  an 11-member delegation from United Bible Societies (UBS), with representatives from the Danish Bible Society, German Bible Society, Norwegian Bible Society, UBS Global Mission Team, UBS Global Patrons Fellowship and UBS China Partnership (UBSCP), visited Jiangsu province to see what God has been doing through the churches, seminary and Amity Printing Company (APC). We praise God for the Bible Societies represented who continue supporting China’s churches in their Bible ministries.

UBS delegates were warmly welcomed at APC, one of the world’s largest Bible printing presses, where they had an eye-opening tour of the facilities and latest Bible printing technology.

In June, a delegation from UBSCP visited the Guangdong Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CC&TSPM), Guangdong Theological Seminary and Guangzhou Catholic Diocese to discuss collaboration opportunities to support the churches in Guangdong in their Bible ministry.

We thank God for the 13th International Seminar on "The Bible and the Systematic Promotion of the Sinicization of Christianity" that was held on 11-13 June, and organised by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), UBS and the British and Foreign Bible Society (BFBS).

A delegation from the Bible Society of Malaysia, led by their General Secretary, Rev Mathew Punnoose (front row, centre), visited Shanghai and Jiangsu province in September on an orientation trip to understand UBS’s Bible mission in China.

Amity Foundation (AF), a partner with UBS in the founding of Amity Printing Company, celebrated their 40th Anniversary on 18 November. UBSCP was delighted to be a part of this celebration to witness how God has used AF to serve various needy communities in many meaningful ways.

UBS Executive Director of Bible Ministry Effectiveness, Alexander Schweitzer (2nd from left), and Bernard Low, UBSCP Director, visited  Archbishop Li Shan and other Catholic Church leaders in November to renew ties and discuss how UBS can  support the Catholic Church in China in their Bible ministry.

UBSCP facilitated a visit for a delegation from the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and Fudan University (comprising researchers, professors and postgraduate students) to visit APC. The delegation was awed by the scale of APC’s operations as they listened to the story of APC’s growth and expansion and after touring the facilities.

The 30th Anniversary of "Bible Day" was celebrated across the churches in China in December. This is an annual event spearheaded by China Christian Council & Three- Self Patriotic Movement and churches in different provinces organised various activities - like Bible reciting, Bible calligraphy, knowledge competitions, testimony sharing and exhibitions - to encourage Christians to engage deeper with the Word of God.

UBSCP is thankful to continue serving the churches in China through the provision of Bibles and Bible resources. We praise God for His mighty hand at work and His sustaining grace that enables us to meet the needs of churches and believers in China.

In 2025, UBSCP supported local Protestant and Catholic Churches in China to distribute 199,489 copies of affordable Bibles and 42,060 copies of free Bibles. The latter includes large-print Bibles which enable elderly believers like Shi to read the Bible with clarity.

A total of 10,562 Chinese Study Bibles and 3007 sets of Bible tools were distributed, benefiting lay preachers and Bible school students, enabling them to study, teach and preach the Word of God effectively.

After years of laborious work, the Bible translation projects for Bai Yi, Waishu Miao and Xiaohua Miao were completed this year. In addition, the Gan Yi translation team also completed the translation of the Yi Annotated Bible (Gan).

Pray for the next phase of work as these translated Scriptures are printed and distributed to believers who long to read God’s Word in their own heart language.

We thank God for His grace which has enabled us to serve and support the churches in China in 2025, for every supporter who has come alongside us to support us in our Bible mission, and for every ministry partner who collaborated with us.

As we look ahead to 2026, we remain committed to our mission of making the Word of God available, affordable and accessible to everyone who needs it.
