It was a joy for United Bible Societies (UBS) to support the Guangxi Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement in the distribution of Bibles among the churches in Guangxi province. Many of the believers were grateful to receive a personal copy of the Bible, expressing their excitement and longing to read God’s Word. Among them were many who had been struggling to read their old Bibles because of their poor eyesight. The gift of large-print Bibles was thus a great blessing for them.
We give thanks to God for the gift of His Word and pray that the lives of those who received the Bibles will be firmly rooted in the truths of God’s Word as they read it regularly.

The atmosphere at Sanfang Church (三防教会) was a joyous one when many of the believers received a copy of the large-print Bible. One such recipient was 55-year-old Mdm Wei Yunzhen who shared that the words of the Bible gave her hope and showed her the way when she felt hopeless with no one to rely on. One verse that has encouraged her was Psalm 28:7. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.”

Many of the believers like these ones in Rongan Daliang Church (融安大良教会) who received the large-print Bibles were thankful that they could still read the Word of God in their old age despite their failing eyesight.
