With praise and thanksgiving to God, we are delighted to share that Bible Societies within the UBS Fellowship have, in 2024, distributed more than 150 million printed Scriptures and facilitated 25.9 million digital Bible downloads, alongside 28.3 billion chapter views and 1.3 billion audio plays. Tracking print distribution over the last decade (2015-2024), the UBS Fellowship has distributed 2.6 billion printed Scriptures – more than a quarter of the world’s population.

“As a Fellowship, we remain deeply committed to ensuring that no one is beyond the reach of the Bible.”

UBS Secretary General, Rev. Dirk Gevers, reflects on the significance of the data provided within this report and the commitment of Bible Societies to our shared mission: "These 2024 figures reflect not only the breadth of our global reach but also the urgency and relevance of our mission. As a Fellowship, we remain deeply committed to ensuring that no one is beyond the reach of the Bible. Our call remains to faithfully steward Scriptures so that all people can access and engage with the Word of God in their own language and format. I am encouraged by the creativity and resilience of our Bible Societies, and I pray we continue to serve with boldness, unity, and hope."
60.3% of full Bibles distributed by Bible Societies were in ten countries, and China recorded the third highest number of Bibles distributed (1.58 million) in 2024.
The top ten languages for Bible distribution in 2024 were Spanish, Portuguese, English, Mandarin, Indonesian, Telugu, Swahili, Tagalog, French, and Arabic, accounting for approximately 72% of the total full Bible distribution.
The Bible is meant to be read, understood and lived out – but that can only happen if it is within reach, in an accessible form. That is why Bible distribution, both in printed and digital formats, is at the heart of the mission of Bible Societies around the world. A Bible translation cannot change lives if it does not reach the hands and hearts of people. Distribution is the crucial link between Bible translation and engagement, two other critical elements of our global integrated Bible ministry, opening the way for people of every age, language, ability and culture to encounter God's Word.

Let us persevere in prayer for the Word of God to be made available to people all over the world, so that they can encounter God’s living Word and be inspired and transformed by it.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”
