Scripture Literacy Classes in Jiangsu Province

It was a joy to see believers in Jiangsu province attend Scripture Literacy classes to learn how to read the Bible. The classes, organised by Zhenjiang Christian Council, with the support of the United Bible Societies (UBS), provide believers with the opportunity to acquire the needed literacy skills to read the Bible.

Besides strengthening their faith by learning to read God’s Word, the participants also encouraged one another in their faith through their time of fellowship during the classes.

Many of the Scripture Literacy class participants received little or no formal education when they were young. Learning to read helps them to grow spiritually as they learn to read the Bible.

Madam Ni, 71, was grateful for the opportunity to learn how to read the Bible through the Scripture Literacy class. She shared that it has helped her to be more aware of and instructed in God’s commandments as she reads the Bible.
Thank God for the believers who joined the Scripture Literacy class. Besides learning how to read the Bible, the class also gave them the opportunity to meet fellow believers and support one another in their faith journey.
